With the theme of “Changsha, My Home”, the hall is divided into four exhibition areas based on Changsha’s characteristic urban layout, namely Changsha Overview, Exploring Old Changsha, Planning for New Changsha and City of Fantasy·2050.
A variety of distinctive parts are shown in the hall like a panoramic landscape corridor, holographic projection, sand table model of the urban master planning, interactive theater, digital sand table, 3D theater and VR self-driving, all of which comprehensively showcase the beauty of landscape and humanity in Changsha.
Four exhibition areas:
Changsha Overview——Changsha Elements
The exhibition area includes Friendly City, Changsha Elements, Specialists Talking about Changsha, City Incorporating Mountains, Rivers and Isle, and Glory Changsha. Changsha Elements show visitors the most characteristic elements of Changsha like Hunan embroidery, relics from Mawangdui Han Dynasty Tomb, palm weaving, and chrysanthemum stone.
Exploring Old Changsha——Hometown Memory
The exhibition area focuses on the urban construction progress and development history of Changsha, the protection of historic and cultural sites, and hometown memory. The part of hometown memory displays old photos of Changsha at different times by photo walls and an interactive screen, reminding visitors of the old days in Changsha.
Planning for New Changsha——Digital Sand Table
The exhibition area introduces Changsha’s general urban planning, comprehensive urban transportation, municipal engineering, infrastructure, underground space, ecological planning, industrial planning, urban and rural overall development and other specific plannings.
The digital sand table is formed by four screens, where Changsha’s planning information is displayed in 3D visualization by 16 projectors.
City of Fantasy·2050——World Talents
Known for the most hi-tech equipment and the best interactive experience, this exhibition area covers designs such as the World Talents, Changsha Talents and Photography Corner. In the World Talent, visitors need to buy “tickets” and take “ID photos” before experiencing local customs of Singapore, Hong Kong, Abu Dhabi and other parts of the world. The Changsha Talents offers three large interactive tables for visitors to design home decoration, community construction as well as road layout, and the blueprints will be presented in front of visitors in 3D. The works created by famous photographers and painters about beautiful Changsha are also on display here.
