Hunan Tan Guobin Contemporary Art Museum

So far the museum has successfully held and organized more than ten exhibition events. Many of them like 2007 Art Changsha and 2013 Art Changsha have had a significant impact at home and abroad and already created brand effect.
Located in Xiangjiang No.1 at the intersection of North Xiangjiang Road and Chuangyuan Road, a new gallery of the museum is open to the public with a display area of over 6,000 square meters and an exhibition hall of about 4.5 meters in height. The gallery meets the diversified needs of exhibition in an effective way and function as a private museum for public education.
The four Art Changsha biennales have been held in Hunan Museum and Changsha Museum, all with a one-month exhibition period. A total of 24 famous artists including Zhou Chunya, Guo Wei and Ding Yi have been invited to these exhibitions. The guest reception, publicity, publication, venue and other expenditure items were realized by Tan Guobin’s personal fundraising.
This kind of large-scale exhibition event, jointly organized by Changsha Municipal Government, Golden Eagle Broadcasting System, Hunan Museum and Hunan Tan Guobin Contemporary Museum, has created a new model for promoting the Chinese modern art by combining government functions and folk forces. The influence of “Art Changsha” extends globally due to its academic value, unique creativity, high standard operation and the dissemination of domestic and international media.
