Hunan’s four museums rated as ‘National Typical Cases’

The volunteer service projects of four museums in Hunan Province were on the list, with the number ranking second in China.
The four selected projects are the “Inheriting Red Gene” volunteer service publicity and explanation project of Mao Zedong Memorial Hall in Shaoshan, the “Cultural Relics Interpretation and Network Communication” volunteer education project of Hunan Museum, the Red volunteer publicity and explanation team building project of Liu Shaoqi Memorial Hall and the “Sunflower” volunteer service project of Hunan CPC History Museum. With clear positioning and a strong social influence, these projects can be replicated and promoted.
In May 2022, the collection and promotion activity of National Typical Cases of Volunteer Services of Museums was launched. The evaluation of recommended cases was based on such indicators as museums’ volunteer service normalization mechanism, service management team building, project characteristics and service effectiveness. Finally, 80 cases were selected.
