The ancient building complex of Zhangguying Village was built in the Ming Dynasty with houses connected. The connected architectural form and the design concept of the central axis made it known as the “Folk Imperial Palace”. It is also the “living fossil” to study Xiangchu culture, and has the reputation of “the first village in the world”.
There are not only traditional cultural activities like national intangible cultural heritage flower-drum opera, shadow puppetry, and provincial intangible cultural heritage Yuezhou Fan making, but also traditional folk activities such as dragon dances, spinning, and paper cutting here.
