As the zongzi industry rises, Dongyuanhu Village, well-known for its zongzi making technique, an intangible cultural heritage item in Liuyang City, has been rated as a national demonstration village for one village with one product.
In 2023, the output value of the zongzi industry in this village reached 130 million yuan. In recent years, the village has taken efforts to strengthen the zongzi industry, and promote the transformation and upgrading of the whole industrial chain to empower rural revitalization and achieve common prosperity.
