‘I Wanna Fly’ premieres in Changsha

Created by the Hunan Puppet and Shadow Art Protection and Inheritance Center, it tells the story of a sunny young man named Xiaoyu and a little red-crowned. Xiaoyu loves football. When he becomes depressed due to a leg injury in a car accident, he saves a little red-crowned crane bitten by a yellow weasel. They learn much from each other and grow together.
The drama, set in 2022, advocates for harmonious coexistence between humans and nature, conveys positive energy to audience, and inspires children to view the world from multiple perspectives, respect life, care for animals, and bravely face setbacks.
With the overall stage design of a scroll painting, drawing inspiration from the style of picture books, the drama presents a unity of realism and freehand brushwork in a blank shadow puppetry performance area.
It has simple and bright images, with bold and powerful carved lines, and achieves a visual novelty and beauty by perfectly combining with lighting and multimedia technology.
Besides, a complete symphonic form has been adopted in the shadow puppetry for the first time.
