Agricultural culture is an important component of traditional Chinese culture with rich historical and folk connotations. In recent years, Chengtoushan, as a representative for developing agricultural culture in Hunan Province and one of the key cultural and tourism brands, has contributed to the development of tourism in Northwestern Hunan.
The Hunan Chengtoushan Agricultural Culture Research Institute, based on the Chengtoushan agricultural culture and a collection of traditional agricultural tools, will study and utilize agricultural culture, develop agricultural cultural tourism products and projects, plan rural cultural revitalization, protect agricultural tool collections, to explore specific paths and methods for the inheritance and promotion of agricultural culture.
At the same time, it will compile the “Traditional Agricultural Tools in Southern China”, conduct research on prehistoric agricultural culture in the Liyang Plain and even the midstream of the Yangtze River, and digitize the agricultural tools collected by various agricultural museums.
It will strive to become a first-class and advanced agricultural culture research institute in the country.
