The Hunan Xiaoxiang Dragon Dance Competition is held annually during the Spring Festival at the Hongjiang Ancient Commercial City Scenic Area of Huaihua City. As an important folk cultural activity and a brand sports event, the competition aims to promote the inheritance and development of excellent traditional cultural and sports activities, advance the deep integration of culture, sports and tourism, and meet the needs of the people for a better life.
Taiyi Youlong Fist is a treasure of the Taoist health-preserving culture of the Han nationality, which has been passed down to the 14th generation. The Taiyi Youlong Fist Martial Arts Research Association was established in 2014. In 2016, Taiyi Youlong Fist was listed as an intangible cultural heritage project in Changsha City. Nowadays, more than 30 teaching stations have been established nationwide to inherit and promote the fist culture.
