8th Hunan Arts Festival opens

Hunan Arts Festival is Hunan’s comprehensive art activity with the highest standards, which is held every three years. This year’s arts festival is held in Changsha, Hengyang and Yueyang from August to November this year, with the form of phased competitions and concentrated displays to show the new achievements of the development of culture and arts in the province in the past three years.
After the opening ceremony, the Hunan opera “A Letter to My Lady” was staged as the opening drama. The drama takes letters of Tan Sitong and his wife as narrative carrier, focusing on the life emotion and responsibility of Li Run, Tan Sitong’s wife, before and after Tan Sitong dies.
In addition to the opening ceremony, professional stage art activities, mass cultural activities, an art, calligraphy, and photography exhibition, a cultural and creative products exhibition, closing ceremony, award party and other main activities will also be launched during the festival, which will last until November 28.
