Shibadong Village Theme post office awarded national demonstration case

In February 2017, to help local villagers shake off poverty, China Post Hunan Branch set up a theme post office in Lizizhai of Shibadong Village, providing stamp sales, mail delivery, finance and other services. It also supported the collective economic development of the village through the business mode of “e-commerce plus convenience plus culture plus tourism”.
Today, Shibadong Village has long got rid of poverty. The theme post office has also become a cultural landmark of the village and an exchange platform of rural revitalization.
A commemorative stamp album, a series of postcards and themed books about targeted poverty alleviation in Shibadong Village are displayed in the 60-square-meter post office, showing the wonderful changes in Shibadong.
There are also specialty products such as Shibadong preserved meat, camellia oil and Miao embroidery works, attracting tourists to purchase.
Ma Xiuzhen, head of the theme post office, often promotes local specialties and handicrafts of Shibadong Village through live streaming.
