In order to promote the integration and complementation of culture and tourism, China Intangible Cultural Heritage Protection Association released the “Prioritized Projects List of the Integrated Development of National Intangible Cultural Heritage and Tourism”. In Hunan Province, Yuhua District of Folk Art and Heritage is the only project included on the list.

Yuhua District of Folk Art and Heritage is located at the junction of No.198 East Shanmuchong Road and Huiyuan Road in Hongxing Business District, Yuhua District, Changsha City. Its main building, Yuhua Intangible Cultural Heritage Museum, covers an area of 24,000 square meters and opens two floors to the public. At present, there are 359 intangible cultural heritage items in the museum, which is divided into four areas for product sale, stage performance, handicraft experience and studio.
Hunan Yuhua Intangible Cultural Heritage Museum has been honored with 67 titles like “Excellent Case of Intangible Cultural Heritage and Tourism Integration”, “National 3A Tourist Attraction” and “Hunan Intangible Cultural Heritage Exhibition Base”. It has received over 300,000 students from primary and secondary schools across China and 2 million tourists, serving as a platform to learn about intangible cultural heritage and traditional culture.
