Huaihua ‘Golden Triangle’ (Summer) Cultural Tourism Market to be opened on June 20

By taking advantage of the waxberry harvest season, with the new mode of “cultural tourism +” to drive the integrated development of culture, agriculture and tourism, the festival aims to carry out digital cultural and tourism marketing activities for Huaihua’s “Golden Triangle”, and create regional characteristics brands of festivals.
Hongjiang City is known as the “Hometown of Fruit” in China. And its Tuokou Waxberry was once praised by Yuan Longping. The waxberry industry is the leading industry in Hongjiang City that empowers rural revitalization.
Tuokou Waxberry now has a planting area of 15,000 mu (1,000 hectares) with an annual output of more than 2 million kilograms and an annual output value of about 50 million yuan. Now it is the ripening season for waxberries. And the Tuokou Dongkui Waxberry is expected to be available on the market within this week.

During the festival, tourists and media workers will visit Huaihua Vocational and Technical College and Qianyang Ancient Town, camp at Qingjiang Lake and taste sweet Tuokou Waxberry, and take a night tour in Hongjiang Ancient Commercial Town to experience the commercial culture.
Meanwhile, there will be a series of preferential activities online. A total of consumption vouchers valued at 1 million yuan will be issued to tourists across the country, covering the characteristic agricultural products, admission tickets of scenic areas and catering in the whole Huaihua City.
Additionally, heads of cultural tourism departments and representatives of travel enterprises will gather together to discuss the ways to expand Huaihua’s tourism market and release the incentive mechanism.
Since 2022, Huaihua has been committed to building the core tourism area of “Anjiang Farming Culture Tourism Area - Hongjiang Ancient Commercial Town - Qianyang Ancient Town”. As the cradle of hybrid rice, in recent years, Hongjiang City has seized the opportunity of the development of all-for-one tourism to actively promote the construction of Yuanjiang River ecological gallery connecting Xuefeng Mountain, Hybrid Rice National Park, Qianyang Ancient Town, etc. and create a national influential cultural tourism “Golden Triangle”.
