He Renyong, the person in charge of the eagle beak peach base in the village, and his workers are busy picking and packing the peaches.

“Eagle beak peaches are crisper and sweeter than other peaches. They are popular among consumers and are in short supply every year,” said He Renyong.
By the end of August, he expects to harvest more than 15,000 kilograms of fresh peaches from his orchard, with an estimated sales revenue of over 200,000 yuan.
In recent years, Jiangyong County has fully leveraged the leading role of Party building and vigorously developed a new model of “industry plus tourism”.
In accordance with the requirements of “one village, one product”, the county has adopted the “farmer plus cooperative” approach to continuously strengthen the collective economy of villages and explore a path of rural revitalization that promotes agriculture.
Relying on the location advantages and rich resources of the national 4A-level Goulan Yao Village Scenic Area, Lanxi Yao Township has developed a characteristic industry based on the integration of agriculture and tourism, facilitating the development of economy through peach blossom appreciation and peach sales.

As the planting scale continues to expand, the benefits of the ‘peach economy” in Jiangyong County have increased, directly driving more than 5,000 villagers to achieve stable employment and income growth.
Currently, the county has created characteristic peach industries such as yellow peaches in Shangjiangwei Town, nectarines in Xiaopu Town, kiwifruit in Yuankou Yao Township, and eagle beak peaches in Lanxi Yao Township.
“We will continue to guide each village and town to develop the ‘peach economy’, continuously expand the scale of the base, create good brands, extend the industrial chain, and increase added value of products,” said an official of the Agriculture and Rural Affairs Bureau of Jiangyong County.
The county will also continue to promote infrastructure construction, provide better picking experiences, and help villagers achieve prosperity through the integration of agriculture, culture, and tourism.
