Hunan Cuisine Tourism Map to be launched

The series of promotional activities for tourism cuisine of “Exploring Hunan: A Culinary Adventure” has been launched throughout the province since July and will continue until December 2023. It aims to further promote high-quality food and tourism resources in Hunan and establish a brand image of food and tourism to advance the high-quality development of Hunan’s cultural and tourism industry and support the construction of a Hunan tourism and food block in Changsha.
This two-day event will explore the cultural connotations of food, cultivate the tourism food consumption market, and create a brand for “catering and tourism integration”, to promote the new development of Hunan’s cultural and tourism industry and provide a unique “Hunan flavor” for the national cultural and tourism integration development.
During the event, 100 gold-medal tourist snacks and 30 most popular Hunan tourist snacks will be announced, and Hunan cuisine tourism routes and an online Hunan cuisine tourism map will also be released.
The team of the food tourism variety show of “Exploring Hunan, a Culinary Adventure” will also be invited to the event, and the main creators of the show team, including Wang Han and Wang Qin, will also be present.
The popular Hunan snacks were selected through comprehensive evaluation like online voting and expert ratings. In the food market, with gold-medal tourist snacks from various places of Hunan and nearly 100 booths, a series of discount and tasting activities for tourists will be launched.
In recent years, Hunan has continued efforts to strengthen the construction of the tourism industry chain by exploring the connotation of food culture in a bid to promote the development of food culture brands and enhance Hunan’s tourism image.
