Hunan adds two new national nature education green campsites

Qingyang Lake State-owned Forest Farm is located in Huangcai Town, Western Ningxiang City, with a total area of 1,129.1 hectares. It boasts abundant wild animal and plant resources, and is a home to 691 woody plants from 86 families, including 5 national first-class key protected plants like ginkgo and redwoods, as well as national key protected wildlife such as salamanders, civet and owls.
In recent years, the forest farm has increased efforts to organize students and parents to carry out study activities in it to bring them close to nature.
Meijiang River Scenic Area is located in the northwest of Lianyuan City, Loudi City, covering a total area of 5,544 hectares. It has 3 national-level geological relics, 20 provincial-level geological relics, and hundreds of other geological relics. The scale, types and connotations of its karst geological relics have national and even global significance, and it is considered as the “natural karst geological museum” by experts and scholars.
