Located at the foot of Mount Heng, Nanyue Temple, is the largest traditional culture museum and art palace in the Southern China. Built in the Tang Dynasty, it has profound cultural heritage. The ancient theater and the Shengdi Hall of Nanyue Temple are classic photo spots. The outstanding wood carvings, stone carvings, and clay sculptures of Nanyue Temple are known as the “Three Wonders of Jiangnan”.
Many tourists shop for cultural and creative products at the Imperial Bookstore of the temple. The series of cultural and creative products, such as sachets, bracelets, and lamps, based on the rich cultural heritage and natural landscapes of Nanyue, are designed with regional characteristics, attracting many tourists.
Many tourists choose to climb the mountain in a “special forces style”. It is also a unique travel experience for them to spend five hours reaching the mountain top, which is the reason why “special forces-style tourism” has become popular among many young people.
In order to meet market demand, the Nanyue Scenic Area has launched a 100-day activity to invite tourists to climb the Five Sacred Mountains. There are many tourists participating in the activity at the Tourist Service Center of Nanyue Scenic Area.
Participants can receive exquisite medals, free tickets, and bonuses as long as they reach the tops of the five sacred mountains on foot within 100 days. Tourists can experience the satisfaction of stamp collecting while soaking up the charm of excellent traditional Chinese culture.
