Changsha culture shines at 2024 China Festival

There was the Changsha exhibition area, which consisted of intangible cultural heritage display, food tasting, and interactive experience, showcasing the unique cultural charm of Changsha.
The representative intangible cultural heritage projects, such as Changsha paper cutting, Changsha nut carving, chrysanthemum stone carving, Changsha dough sculpture, Changsha Kiln Tongguan ceramics firing technology, traditional incense making technique, Hunan embroidery, dyeing and valerian technology, were favored by Japanese people. Also, local Japanese enterprises came to express their intention to cooperate with Hunan embroidery, dough sculpture and other intangible cultural heritage products in Changsha.
In the interactive experience area, Peng Fengling, the representative inheritor of Changsha dough modelling, made dough figurines like lifelike pandas and lucky cats attracted many people to experience the fun and make photos.
Besides, popular food from Changsha’s unique brands like Modern China Tea Shop, and Dim Sum Bureau of Mo Mo received high praise from visitors.

There were long queues at the Changsha exhibition area. Many people expressed their interest in Changsha. This event is a window for Japanese people to know more about Changsha, as well as an important bridge for deepening friendship and promoting cultural exchanges between Changsha and Tokyo peoples.
