Second Zhangjiajie Tourism Development Conference kicks off

The event was ended on September 27. 7 main activities including China (Zhangjiajie) Red Tourism Development and Exchange Conference, project observation and Zhangjiajie’s tourism industry development promotion conference were carried out.
In addition, one parallel event, the burial ceremony for the remains of the Sangzhi martyrs in the Fenshui Campaign of the Nanchang Uprising, was held.
At the opening ceremony, Sangzhi County promoted its cultural tourism resources. And the county was given the titles of a national demonstration zone for geographical indication protection and a national demonstration base for Red study and education.
After the opening ceremony, a fireworks show, a light show, and cultural performances were staged.

With four chapters, the performances showcased Zhangjiajie’s Red history, ecological advantages, inspirational culture, as well as new business formats and models created in tourism development.

By the end of September of this year, it’s expected that the city will have received 37.72 million domestic and foreign tourists and achieved a total tourism revenue of 53.3 billion yuan, an increase of 9% and 15% year on year respectively.

Among them, it will have received 1.38 million inbound tourists, a year-on-year increase of 279%, topping other non-provincial capital cities in China. More and more international tourists choose to travel in Zhangjiajie and fall in love with it.
