‘China’s Intangible Cultural Heritage’ picture book series launched in Frankfurt

With the theme of “illustrated Chinese legacies for global appreciation”, the event aims to showcase the charm of China’s intangible cultural heritage to international readers, especially young people, through children’s picture books, and promote deep cultural exchanges between China and foreign countries.
The “China’s Intangible Cultural Heritage” series of picture books is a set of exquisite picture books that introduce and depict China’s intangible cultural heritage to children.
Created by HJCPH, these picture books not only showcase the accumulated experience and innovative ability of HJCPH in the field of children’s book publishing, but also serve as an important bridge for Chinese culture to go global.
Since its launch, this series of picture books has been exported to multiple countries and regions, receiving widespread praise and recognition.
In June 2023, HJCPH reached a strategic cooperation agreement with the Roma 9-Center at the 29th Beijing International Book Fair, and established the Italian Branch of HJCPH.
The branch will cooperate with the Roma 9-Center every year to translate excellent Chinese culture works into Italian editions for publication, such as Cai Gao’s picture books, “China’s Intangible Cultural Heritage”, and “The Series of Clumsy Wolf”.
Four new picture books of Chinese-Italian bilingual version of “China’s Intangible Cultural Heritage” were launched at the press conference. These picture books not only showcase the profound traditional Chinese culture, but also help build a bridge for cultural exchanges between China and Italia.
