HACTO Branch delegation visits Mount Heng

HACTO signed a cooperation agreement with Hunan Nanyue Culture and Tourism Group to jointly attract visitors to Nanyue District.
The delegation visited scenic spots such as the Martyrs’ Shrine, Fuyan Temple, and Zhurong Peak, experiencing the picturesque scenery and ecological charm of Mount Heng, and learning about fire culture, sacrificial culture, longevity culture, anti-Japanese aggression war culture, and academy culture.
The delegation also went to the Nanyue Grand Temple to appreciate the scene of Confucian, Buddhist and Taoist culture co-existing in one temple, and understood the health concept and cultural connotation at Wanshou Dading Scenic Spot.
They also tasted delicious food, and experienced intangible cultural heritage projects in Nanyueli.
During the visit, a tourism promotion and exchange conference for the HACTO delegation was held in Mount Heng to carry out exchanges and cooperation.
The local culture and tourism department of Hengyang City and Hunan Nanyue Culture and Tourism Group were awarded the title of “Best Partners”, while the HACTO was awarded the “Tourism Promotion Ambassador”.
At the exchange meeting, Hengyang’s cultural and tourism resources and measures to facilitate inbound tourism were introduced.
Representatives of Hong Kong travel agencies expressed that after arriving in Hengyang, they felt its rich and splendid historical culture, bustling and fashionable atmosphere of the modern city, and warmth and friendliness of Hengyang people. A high-speed rail linking Hong Kong and Hengyang was opened, providing convenient transportation conditions. They were willing to organize more HK tourists to visit Hengyang and appreciate its beautiful scenery and profound culture.
Since the beginning of this year, Mount Heng has welcomed multiple overseas travel agencies and media groups from Southeast Asia, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan, expanding the inbound tourist source market, and helping inbound tourism heat up.
