2024-11-12

In the form of a mobile ICH museum, it presented the colorful ICH representative projects in Hengyang to citizens, allowing ICH to radiate new vitality and showcase new charm.
At the event, classic excerpts from Hunan Opera, Qi Opera, and Hengzhou Flower-drum Opera were staged in turns, attracting more than a thousand citizens.
“Child Cowherd”, a Hunan opera, was captivating. Hunan opera, with a history of over 600 years, is highly praised for its localization of Kunqu opera and its emphasis on both martial arts and literature.
“Hitting on Uncle in Study Room”, a Hengzhou flower-drum opera, integrating singing and dancing, was deeply loved by the live audience.

A variety of Qi Opera pieces, with high-pitched tunes and passionate performances, were presented, receiving continuous praise from the audience.
The actors’ superb acting skills and unique singing styles allowed the audience to appreciate the unique charm of traditional dramas in Hengyang.
In addition, an ICH exhibition and experience area, and promotional display boards for representative ICH projects in Hengyang were set up. 10 municipal-level and above ICH projects were selected for exhibition, including Yang Yuxing’s noodles making skills, pig iron smelting and casting skills, and traditional pastry making skills. These ICH projects showcased the traditional handicrafts and cultural characteristics of Hengyang, and allowed citizens to understand the inheritance and development of Hengyang’s ICH projects through observation and experience.

The theme activity has enriched the cultural life of citizens and further promoted the protection and inheritance of ICH projects in Hengyang City. In the future, Hengyang will continue efforts to explore innovative ways to inherit ICH, make ICH integrate into modern life through modern technology, and enable Hengyang citizens to understand and participate in the protection of ICH in a more convenient way, promoting the development of Hengyang’s ICH.
