Beautiful rime arrives in Tianmen Mountain

Tianmen Mountain is more than 1,500 meters above sea level, and the temperature on the mountain has dropped to below 0 degrees. Under the effect of low temperature and rain, the vegetation over the mountains was covered with rime. Clusters of beautiful crystal-clear rime in different shapes appeared over the mountain. Tourists walking along the trail took pictures of the scenery.
Rime is an accumulation of granular ice tufts on tree branches that are formed from fog at low temperature. Tianmen Mountain in Zhangjiajie is 1518.6 meters above sea level, and the temperature on the top of the mountain is 6-8℃ lower than that in the urban area. Every year from mid-late November to early March of the following year, it is the best time to enjoy rime scenery in Tianmen Mountain.
