“Night Tour of the Cuijiang River” is divided into two sections, the Feitian Mountain Live-action Performance Center and the Garden Tour of the Cuijiang River. The performance center, in the shape of a hemisphere, is built by rivers and mountains with an area of 380 mu (about 25.33 hectares).
Tourists can experience “Night Tour of the Cuijiang River” by waterway or land route with respective splendors.
The waterway tour stretches about 2 kilometers, with the entertainment programmes like the mountain light show, water show and concert.
The land route tour also includes a wide range of joyful activities like the garden tour and riverside camping.

The 72 Tujia Stilted Buildings
The 72 Tujia Stilted Buildings is located at the entrance of Wulingshan Avenue, with a stunning façade in its main building. The central hollow gate, which is 38 meters high, 28 meters wide and 21 meters deep, forms a spectacle with Tianmen Cave thousands of meters away.
Under the guidance of experts of Chinese ancient buildings, 18 original stilted buildings were renovated to stand on both sides of the gate, recreating the mysterious legends of Xiangxi’s 72 Tujia Stilted Buildings.
The scenic area is well equipped with infrastructure for shopping, leisure, entertainment and accommodation, providing 72 different novelty experiences. In addition to 162 specialty stalls and 1,001 themed rooms, there are various leisure forms like bar street, workshop street and museums to develop the 72 Tujia Stilted Buildings into an immersive Guochao themed scenic area.
At present, the construction of the first phase of the project has been completed, and the facilities for lighting, projection and others are continuously being refined. Nearly 50 shops have entered the scenic area successively.

In the 20th century, Longxi Ancient Town of Xinhuang County was one of the three major commercial ports along the Yuanshui River.
As early as the reign of Emperor Tongzhi in the Qing Dynasty, people gathered in the estuary where the Longxi River and the Wushui River converged, forming an important and flourishing port for “Water Silk Road in the South”.

Fenghuang Ancient Town
