Pailou Tangyuan (Pailou glutinous rice balls), a traditional snack of Hengyang City, Hunan Province, is totally different from the common Tangyuan that tastes mostly sweet with the stuffing of sesame seeds, peanuts, bean paste while Pailou Tangyuan is filled with rice, chopped green onion, pepper, salt, etc. with the crystal-white color and spicy taste.
