Tianzi Lake National Wetland Park honored for new cultural and tourism formats in Hunan

Shaoyang Tianzi Lake National Wetland Park, located in the northwest of Shaoyang County, Shaoyang City, is the confluence of Nanshui and Fuyi rivers. It has a total planned area of 784.2 hectares, with a wetland area of 472.1 hectares.
In recent years, Shaoyang County has made efforts to promote the tourism development of the wetland park. There are many scenic spots in the park, such as Tianzi Lake, Wangjiang Lake, Tianzi Ridge, Tianzi Pavilion, Tianzi Cave, Zhatan Lake, and Bukou Creek.
Villages next to the wetland park have developed many rural tourism projects like fruit picking, restaurants, homestay inns, Houwangzhai Scenic Area, Tianzi Lake Ever-bright Film and Television Base, and a camping base. Caishantuan Village is a key rural tourism village in Hunan Province.

Relying on the natural resources of Tianzi Lake National Wetland Park, Shaoyang County spares no effort to develop a new business model of sports and tourism.
The National Aquatic Leisure Sports Center project has settled in Tianzi Lake area. The China Paddle Board Super League as well as Tianzi Lake Paddle Board Open, and the dragon boat race are held in the wetland park every year.
Besides, Shaoyang County has invited sports celebrities to jointly promote the development of martial arts culture.
All of these efforts have increased the influence and popularity of sports tourism in Tianzi Lake Scenic Area.
Shaoyang County has worked hard to improve the basic and supporting facilities of Tianzi Lake National Wetland Park such as internal transportation, tourist toilets, homestay inns, restaurants, film and television shooting bases, and camping bases.
At present, the Tianzi Lake National Wetland Park receives more than 600,000 tourists every year, providing jobs for more than 1,000 people, with a tourism revenue of 120 million yuan.
