Yinshan Mountain is one of the birthplaces of Hunan culture, where Hu Anguo, an erudite from Nanyue, along with his son, was buried. Located in Huangjingping Village, Paitou Township, Xiangtan County, it is a branch of the Mount Heng. With beautiful mountains and clear water, many outstanding figures lived here over thousands of years. Zhou Dunyi, the founder of Neo Confucianism in the Northern Song Dynasty, once lived in Yinshan Mountain and gave lectures. He gained a deep understanding of the principles of yin and yang, eight trigrams, and Tai Chi, and wrote the masterpiece “Ode to the Lotus Flower” by the lotus pond.
