Mufu Mountain is the highest among all along the border of Hunan, Hubei, and Jiangxi provinces. It is abundant in plants and animals, making it a wonderful place for leisure and relaxation.
Mufu Mountain boasts a forest coverage rate of 94 percent, with its highest peak reaching 1,596 meters. Situated at the middle and upper part of the main peak of Mufu Mountains, Mufu Mountain National Forest Park covers a total area of 1,701 hectares, with its main peak reaching 1,606 meters. Owning the largest Taiwan Red Pine (pinus taiwanensis) area, there are abundant plant and animal life, including 32 tree species under national-level protection, over 200 species of precious herbal medicine, and 52 species of animals under national-level protection.
