The Tujia people wash the fir tree mushrooms collected from the mountains with mountain spring water, and process them into various delicious foods in different ways.
The dishes of Cili County in Zhangjiajie City are often cooked with preserved pork. The washed fir tree mushrooms are poured into the pot with hot rapeseed oil, stir fried until half cooked, with cured pork, chili peppers, and garlic added, and finally boiled for more than ten minutes with water. The scent of fir tree mushrooms fills the air.

The salty cured pork completely integrates with fresh fir tree mushrooms, endowing the dish with a unique taste. The dish also embodies the climate, and local customs of Cili County.
