Yangcha is a kind of farm implement used by the Tujia people to thresh grass and stir the straw of beans and other crops. It is cut from the natural branches of trees in the mountains.



Tujia Yangcha Dance is adapted from the scene that the Tujia ancestors threshed grass after the autumn harvest. Being an important part of the Tujia culture, it shows the desire of the Tujia people for a better life and the joy of celebrating the harvest. The dance is full of passion and vitality, bearing the strong homesickness of the Tujia people.
