12 Hunan villages selected as beautiful leisure villages

The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs recently announced the list of beautiful leisure villages in China in 2023, with a total of 256 villages making the list, including 12 villages from Hunan Province, such as Yinlong Village in Huanghua Town of Changsha County, Mihua Village in Shidu Town of Yanling County, and Shanbei Village in Gezhuping Town of Xupu County.



These 12 selected villages all have their own unique characteristics. Yinlong Village, located in the northern part of Huanghua Town, is just a half-hour drive from Changsha City.

With over 40,000 hydrangea flowers blooming throughout the village, along with the Xinjiang Ecological Park, it has become a popular spot for Changsha residents. Shanbei Village, situated in the hinterland of the Xuefeng Mountains, is truly enchanting with 1,000 terraced fields and rich Huayao customs.

 The construction of beautiful leisure villages is an important way to increase farmers’ income and promote the integrated development of industries in rural areas. In recent years, Hunan has vigorously promoted the construction of beautiful villages, creating a number of beautiful leisure villages with distinct characteristics, good rural customs and well-equipped facilities.
