Hunan has two excellent national public cultural service system demonstration zones

In recent years, Zhuzhou City has made efforts to cultivate brands. The “Happy Weekends” has been held for more than 20 years, the “Zhuzhou Reading Month” has been held for 15 consecutive times, and various special cultural activities have continued to be held such as “Happy Hunan, Happy Zhuzhou”, Zhuzhou Art Festival, and National Fitness Festival. Besides, Zhuzhou has created five new innovative brands like “Happy Neighborhood Culture and Sports College”, “Zhuzhou Street Art Station”, and “Get together in Happy Zhuzhou”.
Meanwhile, Zhuzhou City has worked to promote the public culture and strengthened its deep integration with tourism, sports, industry, agriculture, etc. It has successively held festivals such as the Liling Fried Rice Noodles Festival, “Factory BA”, “Aviation Carnival”, Yanling Yellow Peach Culture Festival, Liling Peach Flower Festival, and Baiguan Luffa Festival.
Yongzhou City is a national historical and cultural city with a long history and rich cultural heritage. Yongzhou City has continued efforts to promote excellent traditional culture and build a modern public cultural service system with reasonable structure, balanced development, effective operation, and all people benefited.
In July 2021, Yongzhou City was included in the fourth batch of national public cultural service system demonstration zones.
In 2023, Yongzhou City continued to promote the innovative development of the public cultural service system demonstration zone. During the reevaluation, all 27 assessment indicators in the city were rated as “excellent”.
In the process of innovative development, Yongzhou City has combined the innovative transformation and development of excellent traditional culture with economic, political, social, and ecological civilization construction. The typical innovative case titled “Inheriting and Innovating Excellent Traditional Culture to Promote High-quality Development of Public Culture” has been unanimously recognized by experts from the Ministry of Culture and Tourism.
