Hunan promotes cultural tourism resources at CITM 2024

With a theme of “Ni Hao, China”, this year’s CITM lasted for 3 days and attracted tourism promotion agencies, related enterprises and about 1,000 international travel merchants from more than 70 countries and regions to participate.
At the Hunan’s themed exhibition hall, 13 cities and one prefecture in the province set up booths to showcase more than 300 cultural and tourism products.
During CITM, exciting programs, intangible cultural heritage performances and colorful lottery activities were held to showcase Hunan’s tourism resources and cultural characteristics in all aspects and enhance the international recognition, reputation and influence of Hunan’s cultural tourism brand.
Hunan has always attached great importance to the inbound tourism market. In 2024, the inbound tourism market has rapidly heated up.
As of October this year, a total of 806,000 foreign personnel had entered and left Hunan ports, a year-on-year increase of 195.7%.
In the first three quarters of this year, Zhangjiajie received a total of 1.2943 million inbound tourists and generated inbound tourism revenue of 358.541 million US dollars, a year-on-year increase of 255.47% and 307.61% respectively.
The number of inbound tourist sources reached 183 countries and regions (including Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan), with over 10,000 visitors from South Korea, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, Singapore, Indonesia, and Russia.
