During the National Day holiday, the BEAUTIFUL HUXIANG FILM ART FESTIVAL became a popular Internet-famous event in Jishou City, Xiangxi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture, Hunan Province.

On the scene, activities like song and dance performances, outdoors movies and interactive games were staged successively, involving hordes of tourists in the interaction.
The film festival is another new attempt made by Jishou to integrate film and cultural tourism. Previously, a series of measures like the establishment of Jishou Film and Television Base and the shooting of children micro-movie in summer were launched as efforts to probe into the integration of cultural tourism and film, injecting great vitality to Jishou’s cultural tourism.
In recent years, Jishou has promoted the all-for-one tourism and creatively proposed new development strategies in response to an era of high-speed train and flight. It has vigorously developed the nighttime economy and enhanced the brand influence as well as reputation of cultural tourism.
In July of this year, Jishou Film and Television Base, with Aizhai Bridge, Dehang Miao Village, Qianzhou Ancient Town as the core, was designed to realize constant synergy effects with the integration of films and tourist destinations.

A series of high-quality films with Xiangxi as the background shined across China. It is learned that Jishou Film and Television Base can invite a larger number of talented professionals like renowned directors and screenwriters to explore the culture of Jishou and develop outstanding works with touching camera language. In this way, Jishou can capture the attention of film industry and then serve as a magnet for relevant industries.
With film as the core and tourism as the carrier, the integration of the two aspects can transform and upgrade the traditional cultural business forms and promote the high-quality development of Jishou’s cultural tourism. By playing the trump card, Jishou will not only meet the cultural needs of the masses, but also improve the reputation of its cultural tourism.
