Hunan has one excellent national archaeological site protection and exhibition case

The Tanheli Site is the place where the “Square Vessel with Four Rams” was unearthed and the only ancient city site of the Shang and Zhou dynasties in Hunan Province. It has a preserved area of 23,000 square meters and has more than 200 precious cultural relics as well as a large number of pottery ware, bronze ware, jade ware, etc. unearthed, forming the “Tanheli Culture” and known as the “Bronze Culture Center in Southern China”.
Longquan Village of Huangcai Town in Ningxiang City, relying on the boutique rural tourism route of the excavation site of “Square Vessel with Four Rams”-Qianfo Cave-Weishan Rafting, has received 81,200 tourists, achieved the sales of agricultural products and agritainment of 2.46 million yuan, and increased the per capita income of local farmers by 3,901 yuan, accounting for 15% of the annual disposable income of residents.
As of now, the Tanheli National Archaeological Site Park has provided jobs for more than 6,000 villagers and offered employment opportunities to more than 70 impoverished households. The Tanheli Scenic Area has become a demonstration area for rural revitalization through the development of archaeological culture in Hunan.
