Foreign tourists just tap ID cards to enter Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon

As the weather warms up, tourism also heats up at the Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon Scenic Area. In order to better serve tourists, the scenic area, while optimizing payment services, has carried out system upgrades, with the new version of the Foreigner Permanent Resident ID Card adopted as a proof of tourist identity verification. They can easily enter the scenic area as long as they hold their ID cards against the card reader.



In the past, foreign tourists had to queue up at the service window to exchange an e-ticket bought online for a paper ticket. The queuing time would greatly increase during the peak tourism season, bringing inconvenience to them.

In March, the scenic area quickly updated the ticket verification system after learning about permanent residence permits promoted by the Cili County Public Security Bureau.

“We are committed to providing tourists with better and more convenient services, and now the Foreigner Permanent Resident ID Card can be used to purchase tickets, enter the scenic area, and enjoy various services inside the scenic area, allowing them to have a better experience,” said Song Dexiang, deputy general manager of Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon Scenic Area.



The Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon Scenic Area has established close cooperation with foreign tourism organizations and travel agencies, working to attract more foreign tourists and inject new vitality into the international development of Zhangjiajie’s tourism industry.

The scenic area will continue to optimize its services to attract more domestic and foreign tourists, so as to further promote the prosperous development of Zhangjiajie’s tourism industry.
