Hunan promotes tourism at 12th MITE

With a total exhibition area of 30,000 square meters and 1,353 booths, this expo attracted 668 enterprises and units from 54 countries and regions to participate. With 7 highlights, it aimed to create the ever largest scale travel expo.
On April 26, the Zhangjiajie delegation visited the Macao Tourism Chamber of Commerce, held talks with local travel agencies, and invited them to Zhangjiajie for sightseeing. Companies such as Junsheng Painting Academy, Tujia Guaiyaomei Brocade Weaving, and Xiuyun Embroidery attended the exhibition, displaying their representative cultural and creative products.

The Chenzhou delegation negotiated cooperation with multiple travel agencies like Macao Branch of China International Travel Service, and Mountscape Travel, and reached a preliminary intention with them on leading tour groups to Chenzhou. A large number of orders were placed at the expo for the city’s silver jewelry, souvenirs, and honey.
Zhuzhou promoted its Emperor Yan culture, Red culture, industrial culture, and reputation as a millennium-old porcelain capital by introducing its cultural and creative products. Sachets, keychains, ceramic cups and other products were sold on the site and through livestreaming on Taobao. A special cultural tourism promotion conference of Zhuzhou was held on the afternoon of April 27.
Shaoshan Maojia Food Co., Ltd. from Xiangtan City took part in the exhibition, showcasing local specialty food and profound Red cultural heritage through hand-drawn maps, enhancing the reputation of Xiangtan’s cultural tourism brands, warming up the tourism market for the upcoming May Day holiday and summer vacation.

Xiangxi Prefecture conducted research on the itinerary of boutique tourist routes and number of inbound tourists with Xinxin Luhua Travel, Lion Travel Agency, and Vangou Tourism Group, and exchanged views with the Representative Tourism Office of Laos in China and the Jordanian Tourism Bureau on matters such as study tours, tour guide training, friendly city cooperation, and protection of world cultural heritage.
