‘Hunan Folk Songs’ series concert held in Macau

The concert was filled with deep emotions. Familiar melodies such as “Chili Pepper Song” “Liuyang River”, and “Dongting, Land of Fish and Rice” were performed in turns, with Chinese style artistic forms of expression, beautiful ethnic costumes, colorful music language, vivid on-site interpretation and interaction making Hunan folk songs presented in a lively way.
Many local audiences in Macau expressed that it was their first time to hear the Hunan folk song special session, but the love for life conveyed in the songs left a deep impression on them. Many Hunan people in Macau also came for it and were very happy to hear the voice of their hometown in Macau.
The series concert was performed in Hong Kong on the evening of June 28. The wonderful performance in Macau marks the full success of the “Hunan folk song” Hong Kong-Macau tour.
Hunan has close connections with Hong Kong and Macau. The Hunan Provincial Song and Dance Ensemble has performed multiple times in Hong Kong and Macau.
This series concert has promoted Hunan culture to Hong Kong and Macau audiences through artistic forms and evoked the emotional resonance of the Chinese people based on folk songs to assist Hunan’s cultural tourism and contribute Hunan’s cultural and artistic strength to the construction of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area.
