The average temperature in the park is between 20℃ and 28℃ in summer. It is not hot in summer and not cold in winter. It boasts abundant forests and bamboos, beautiful scenery, wide water area, rich animal and plant resources with different characteristic landscapes.
There are 108 sights in the park, including 70 natural ones and 38 cultural ones.
Heimi Peak had been visited by many eminent figures in history, like Huai Su, an eminent monk and calligrapher of the Tang Dynasty, and Zhu Houzhao, an emperor of the Ming Dynasty. Liu Changqing, a great poet of the Tang Dynasty, once visited the peak and recorded his travel in poetry.
Heimi Peak is also one of the 4 famous Buddhist mountains in Changsha. The Heimi Temple at the top of the peak is very famous and popular among religious people. It has been long known as a blessed land.
The park’s rich ancient stone carvings, long-standing folk culture, folk customs, good environment and distinctive leisure and vacation projects make Heimi Peak an excellent place for residents in the surroundings to get close to nature. It’s known as a “natural oxygen bar” for urban people and the natural green ecological barrier in the north of Changsha.
