Goulou Peak National Forest Park

Goulou Peak National Forest Park is hailed as the “gene bank” in southern Hunan. It boasts over 1,000 mu (about 66.6 hectares) of secondary forest rare in Hunan as well as more than 1,000 species of animals and plants. In the park we can see the famous Cyclocarya paliurus (a symbol of milch cow in China), the “living fossils” like ginkgo and metasequoia, Castanopsis Fagaceae, Reevesia pubescens and many wild animals including boars, roebucks, muntjacs, deer, foxes and cuckoos.
