Nanshan Grassland

Nanshan Grassland is 32 kilometers from east to west and 46 kilometers from north to south, with a total area of 152 square kilometers and 15333.3 hectares of artificial and natural grassland.
It has been honored as Demonstration Basement of Hunan Provincial Agricultural Tourism, one of the natural reserves of Nanshan National Park, a sightseeing grassland, the largest modern mountain pasture and the patriotism basement in Hunan Province. It is widely recognized as a leisure and summer resort and a natural oxygen bar for humans, with the content of negative oxygen ions amounting to 128,000/ cm³.

Nanshan International Camping Base
The camping base covering an area of 100 mu (about 6.7 hectares) is divided into six areas including camping site rental area, camping tent area, elevated tent area, tent hotel area, cabin villa area and family tent area. There are also a number of supporting facilities like the drive-in, barbecue buffet, milk bath, tea cafe and special bar, which can serve thousands of visitors.
Yurt Grassland Resort
From the Ziyang Peak visitors can go down the road to Chengbu Yurt Grassland Resort and enjoy the milking, horse riding, archery as nomadic folk. Tourists would be invited into yurts for fresh milk and to the Bonfire Night.
Shentong Mountain- Shentong Spring
Shentong Mountain is the headstream of Nanshan Spring. Legend has it that in the past, two immortals grazing in Nanshan Mountain dug a large well here, which brought clear and transparent spring water. The spring flows constantly and contains more than a dozen essential trace elements, including zinc content far exceeding national mineral water standards.
Ziyang Peak
The Ziyang Peak is located in the central part of Nanshan Grassland where the blue sky, white clouds, grass and flocks and herds constitute typical pasture scenery.
Husbandry Sightseeing Area
Nanshan Dairy has built a dairy farming base, 16 mechanized milking parlors, a dairy product production line with an annual output of 40,000 tons, and a complete dairy product storage and logistics system on Nanshan alpine mossy grassland of an altitude of 1,760 meters, leading the development of grass planting, wrapping, logistics, husbandry sightseeing and other relevant industries.
Area with Wind Turbine Generators
The pasture, streams, lakes and herds of cows all can be seen from the top of the mountain. There are also wind turbine generators that undulate with the hills. The streamlined appearance of the wind-generated electricity dispatching room is designed to complement Nanshan Grassland
Jiaolong Cave
The mysterious Jiaolong Cave is located in the east of grassland, covered by ancient plants and mist. The cave is deep inside with twisting streams.
Laoshanjie Scenic Area
Located in the southeastern part of Nanshan Grassland, Laoshanjie used to be the first difficulty the Red Army met in Long March. Now there are numerous tourists spots in this area including the secondary forest and twisting mountain roads.
Maoping Scenic Area
Maoping Scenic Area is located in the south of Nanshan Grassland, with vast land, extensive water, abundant vegetation and wildlife. The main spots here are the Maoping Lake, Natural Bonsai Garden, Nanshan Red Army Bridge and waterfalls.
Top Scenic Area
Nanshan Top Scenic Area is located in the western part of Nanshan Grassland, which is a vast area for fruit and anti-seasonal vegetables cultivation and featured tour. The main spots are Cloudy Pear Orchard, Nanshan Top and Azalea Garden.
Rhododendron Area
Rhododendrons blossom in April and May. They are easily found in Nanshan and the Rhododendron Slope in Nanshan Top Scenic Area is the best place to enjoy the unique beauty.
