Lotuses of more than 1.33 hectares are planted in the Nianjia Lake of Hunan Martyrs Park. Lotus flowers will wither away at the beginning of August. Besides, there are many varieties of lotuses in Yanghu Wetland Park for people to enjoy.
The main viewing area for lotus flowers in the Hunan Botanical Garden is located near the research center. Changsha Moon Lake Park is a distinctive cultural landscape created with the theme of “moon”, where the Lotus Pond is one of the famous ten scenic spots.
To enjoy lotus flowers around the city, you can go to the 6.67-hectare lotus garden near the west gate of Hunan Agricultural University. The lotus flowers are in full bloom, and look particularly beautiful in the sunlight. In addition, there are lotus gardens of more than 20 hectares and 10 hectares respectively in Guijing Village and Datuoxin Village, Tianxin District.
Xiang Embroidery Lotus Garden in Shaping Subdistrict, Kaifu District covers an area of 100 hectares. There are nearly 13.33-hectare lotus gardens in Hantai Community, Hanpu Subdistrict, Xiangjiang New Area. Also, lotus flowers can be enjoyed in the Peach Lake at the foot of Yuelu Mountain and in the south campus of Central South University.

Meanwhile, there are also several attractions for tourists to enjoy lotus flowers in Wangcheng District, including nearly 66.67-hectare lotus garden of Qiaokou Ancient Town, the over 20-hectare lotus garden of Taiying Agriculture Science and Technology Co., Ltd. in Lujiang Community of Jinggang Town, the over 13.33-hectare lotus garden of Greenland Ecological Farm, and nearly 66.67-hectare lotus garden in Chating Town.
Besides, there are 13.33, 10.67 and 12 hectares of lotus flowers in Cangfang, Huifeng and Zaotian villages of Liuyang City respectively.
In addition, Ningxiang City also has good places to appreciate lotus flowers. There are 66.67-hectare and 40-hectare magnificent lotus gardens in Huilongpu Town and Baimaqiao Subdistrict respectively.
Warm tips: Lotuses bloom around 5:00 am to 11:00 am every day. After 12:00 pm, they will close. Citizens can only see the blooming lotus flowers in the morning.
