Pengshan Scenic Area

It consists of three parks and two bases, namely, forest health preservation park, wetland science park, Chengtoushan Geopark, organic agriculture base and flower gardening base.
At present, Pengshan Scenic Area is mainly divided into such areas as hometown dream, ecological oxygen bar, amusement, water entertainment, folk custom and meditation, integrating the functions of living, sightseeing, amusement, experience and shopping. Tourists are able to immerse themselves in a landscape surrounded by lush mountains and lucid water.
Qinshan ancient temple
Qinshan Mountain, lying 15 miles west of Li County, is connected with Pengshan Mountain. Qinshan Temple, an ancient temple famous for thousands of years, is majestic and widely reputed.
Qinshan Temple is now different from the original one. There is a 2500-year-old arhat pine in the west of Dacheng Hall. It is said that Li Guang, a famous general in the Han Dynasty, once tied his horse to this tree. Researchers pointed out that the predecessor of Qinshan Temple was actually built in the Han Dynasty, while the present Qinshan Temple, as a Buddhist temple, was probably rebuilt by a monk in the Tang Dynasty.
Amusement area
In this area, tourists can take the Ferris wheel to overlook the whole scenic area. They can also enjoy more than 20 sorts of exciting and interesting amusement projects here.
Water entertainment area
With the Lishui River as its center and the wetland along the river as its background, the area allows tourists to enjoy the landscape on both sides of the river at a tea house. Camping, barbecue, bonfire, motel, yurt, tasty snacks and other projects are available here.
Folk custom area
In this area, tourists can experience the making of tea oil, rapeseed oil and peanut oil through traditional craftmanship; self-brewed wine, grain wine, Dongcang wine and Pengshan alcohol. There are also free-range farm animals, self-made bacon and organic fruits and vegetables. More experience projects are under construction.
Meditation area
Siwang Temple was built in memory of Li Yuanze, the royal highness in the Tang Dynasty. As the most famous temple in Pengshan, it covers an area of more than 1,000 square meters and a construction area of more than 500 square meters. Built on a mountain and with a strict layout, every eave and every corridor in the temple are interconnected, showing the magnificent style of temples built in the Ming and Qing Dynasties.
