2022-10-10
The statue of Goddess of the Xiangjiang River stands in the Dawang Mountain on the west bank of the Xiangjiang River in Changsha, Hunan Province. It is derived from Qu Yuan (a famous Chinese patriotic poet)’s poem. The light show at night is splendid and varied. The 22-meter-high statue can be regarded as another landmark in Changsha.
The east of the statue faces Baxi Isle across from the river. In the west lies the Dawang Mountain with Tongxi Temple and Zeng Guofan’s Tomb. In the north is Xiangjiang Happy City, and in the south is HB Town.
This is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Changsha, showing the bright prospect of urban development.
