Emperor Shun Karst Cave

Emperor Shun Karst Cave, lying on the eastern foot of the Mount Emperor Shun and 600 meters north of Damiaokou Town, was discovered and opened to the public in 1984. According to what the geologists have proved, it boasts a history of more than 100 million years with the cave length of over 700 meters and an area of about 12,000 square meters. There are 4 main halls and 18 palaces in the cave which makes it more than a cave. The lifelike stalactites in various shapes here can parallel with the Seven Star Cave (or Qixingyan) and Reed Flute Cave.
The cave also enjoys the reputation of fairyland for its spectacular scenery and colorful stone pillars, stalagmites and stone curtains.
Stone Carving

The Tianning Temple, located in the southwest of the Mount Emperor Shun, has been popular among all the admirers and believers to burn incenses here since ancient times, especially for those from Hunan and Guangxi. On the stone wall, the words “the Peak of the Mount Emperor Shun” engraved at an unknown age in the southeast of the peak are still clear and legible.
Sea of Clouds

The scenery on the peak varies with seasons. In spring, towering peaks, grotesquely-shaped rocks and old pines loom up out of the mist. In summer, the top offers a panoramic view of endless mountains. In autumn, the colors of the sea of clouds are forever changing. And when it comes to winter, everything is bathed in white. The mountain always fascinates tourists with its fairytale splendor.
