Dragon Palace
The Dragon Palace is the largest cave in the Huanglong Cave, as well as one of the most attractive one. It covers an area of 15,000 square meters with an average height of 40 meters. More than 2,000 stalagmites here in the palace stand on the ground in a variety of postures and colors, looking like animals, treasures, cedars or the lifting-off rockets.

Dragon Palace
The Dragon Palace is the largest cave in the Huanglong Cave, as well as one of the most attractive one. It covers an area of 15,000 square meters with an average height of 40 meters. More than 2,000 stalagmites here in the palace stand on the ground in a variety of postures and colors, looking like animals, treasures, cedars or the lifting-off rockets.
There are also two pools in the deep cave with flowers blossoming in the clear water. Stalactites grow on the ceiling surrounded by the vivid fresco. Numerous stalagmites stand like humans, kneeling around the hugest one that is 12 meters in height and 10 meters in diameter.
Xiangshui River
The Xiangshui River is inside the second floor of the Huanglong Cave. It is 2,800 meters long with an average depth of 6 meters, and the water temperature is around 15℃ all year round. The river is rich in transparent “glass fish” and the national second-class protected animal Andrias davidianus.
Unique Pillar
The Unique Pillar is a famous site in the Huanglong Cave. As the tallest stalagmite in the cave with a height of 19.2 meters, it is thick at both ends and thin in the middle with a diameter of only 10 centimeters at the thinnest point. It has grown here for 200,000 years and it keeps growing every year. It is estimated to reach the ceiling after 60,000 years. To protect this site, the management department of the scenic area has bought an insurance of 100 million yuan for the Unique Pillar, becoming the first one in China that bought the insurance for the natural heritage.
